Cardiac and abdominal ultrasound now offered for pets

We are excited to now offer ultrasound!  Dr. Sheehan has 9 years of experience in both abdominal and cardiac ultrasound.  We use the ultrasound to diagnose causes of heart murmurs and monitor progress of cardiac diseases, such as Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy in cats, Dilated Cardiomyopathy in large breed dogs, and mitral valve insufficiency in small breed dogs.  We also use the ultrasound to see into an animal’s belly to diagnose causes of elevated liver enzymes, kidney and bladder stones and tumors, pancreatitis and inflammatory bowel disease, and adrenal tumors.  The cost of either an abdominal or cardiac ultrasound is $220.
